Huddle

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 23, 2026
Huddle coordinates in-person meetups with people you don't know. We provide reporting and blocking tools and age-gate the app to adults, but we don't run background checks and can't guarantee any other user's identity, intentions, or behavior. Meet in public places, tell someone where you're going, and trust your judgment — see "In-person safety" below.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating a Huddle account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Huddle.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Huddle. We verify your date of birth at signup, both client-side and on our server, and will reject or close an account that doesn't meet this requirement.

3. What Huddle is

Huddle is a platform for finding, creating, and joining local pickup games, recurring meetups, teams, and leagues. We provide the software that connects players — we are not a party to, and don't organize, supervise, or insure, the actual games and meetups that happen through it. Organizers and participants are responsible for their own games.

4. Your account

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, based on reports, our own review, or both — see "Reports and blocking" below.

6. Reports and blocking

You can report a player, a game, or a chat message that violates these terms, and you can block another player at any time. Blocking hides that person's games, roster entries, and chat messages from you, and yours from them, and prevents new invites between you. Reports are reviewed by Huddle moderators; the person you report is not notified that you filed it.

7. In-person safety

Games and meetups you find or create through Huddle happen in person, with people you may be meeting for the first time. Huddle does not conduct background checks on users and cannot guarantee the identity, intentions, age (beyond the 18+ signup gate), or behavior of anyone you meet through the app.

Meet in public, well-lit places for a first game, especially with someone new. Tell a friend or family member where you're going. Trust your instincts, and use the report/block tools if something feels wrong. You are solely responsible for your own safety and conduct when meeting other users.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you post (profile info, chat messages, photos, ratings, venue submissions). By posting it, you grant Huddle a license to store, display, and transmit it as needed to provide the service — for example, showing your chat message to the other people in that conversation. You're responsible for content you post and confirm you have the right to post it.

9. Games, costs, and payments

Any cost-sharing for a game (court fees, equipment, etc.) noted by an organizer is informal and handled directly between players — Huddle does not process, hold, or guarantee any such payment.

10. Ads and subscriptions

Free accounts may see ads, which never appear inside an active game's chat. A premium subscription tier (removing ads and adding features) is planned but not yet available; when it launches, purchases will be handled through the app store's standard billing and are subject to that store's refund policies.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Huddle for violating these terms, at our discretion, with or without notice depending on severity. You can stop using Huddle at any time, and delete your account yourself from Profile → Settings → Delete account in the app (or by emailing ctrlaltdel226@gmail.com). See the Privacy Policy's "How long we keep data" section for what deletion does and doesn't remove.

12. Disclaimers

Huddle is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any game you find through it will happen as described.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Huddle and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or from any in-person interaction, game, or meetup arranged through it.

14. Governing law

[Placeholder — governing law/jurisdiction to be confirmed during legal review.]

15. Changes to these terms

We'll update the date at the top of this page when these terms change, and post a notice in the app for material changes. Continuing to use Huddle after a change means you accept the update.
